The Utah Aerospace Pathway helps you to take classes and gain real-world experience as you participate in a required work-based learning activity that compliments your required courses. At the end of the pathway, you receive a certificate and are guaranteed a job interview with all participating employers.
Speak with your CTE coordinator to find out if the UAP program is available in your school district.
To enroll in the UAP program, you’ll need to register and complete
Manufacturing Principles 1 and Composites 1
during your junior or senior year of high school. Your CTE coordinator will work with your teachers to ensure you’re on the right track to earning your certificate.
Once you’ve enrolled in your UAP courses, you’ll apply for the UAP externship.
Your CTE coordinator will connect you with one of our partnered employers to complete your required externship, providing you with an opportunity to explore your career options and gain hands-on experience in the workplace.
Now that you’ve explored your career options and completed your course requirements, you are on your way. As a UAP graduate, you’ve earned a guaranteed job interview. Take your skills, externship experience, and UAP certificate and apply with any UAP employer.

Advance your career by earning stackable credentials that provide on- and off-ramps to continued education and complete the UAP certificate as a high school senior. Earning the UAP certificate guarantees you a job interview with all participating employers throughout the state. Land your first job making above-average starting wages and benefits as a high school graduate. But don’t stop there; further your career as you take advantage of your employer’s tuition reimbursement program and earn your degree and additional certifications debt-free.
